How would you simplify 2/3 so you don't have to deal with a fraction
any more? Answer: you can't.
You can simplify fractions only by dividing the top and bottom by a
common factor. For example, 4/6 = (2*2)/(3*2), so you divide top and
bottom by 2 and get 2/3. Or
(x-2x^2)/(x+2x^2) = [ x(1-2x) ] / [ x(1+2x) ]
so you divide top and bottom by x and get (1-2x)/(1+2x).
But your fraction, (1-2x)/(1+2x), has no common factors between top
and bottom. ("x" and "2" are not factors.) So it can't be simplfied
further.

A: Maybe because some people are too annoyed by top posting.
Q: Why do I not get an answer to my question(s)?
A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top posting such a bad thing?
