A  RELATED REATES PROBEM.

       Amount  painted per hour:
       S = sally = 1/4
      J = John = 1/6
Together  T = 1/4 + 1/6 = 5/12
 So they do together 5/12 of the job per hour.
So they do the job in 12/5 hours = 2 hours and 24 minutes.
