I'm aware of all that. Over the years you must have seen me
use those conventions. However, 'Z+' is unambiguous and
more readable than 'Z^+', so I consider it vastly preferable
for actual use. My parenthetical comment to Jack was merely
to ensure that he knew what to use or look for in a medium
less limited typographically.
