Looking for opinions and feedback

by Skull King <none@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 10, 2008 at 01:02 PM

First I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this and
hopefully give
me some "constructive feedback", as I value your opinion very much.

For several years I have been thinking of creating a website that offers
on-line
test preparation for those who are getting ready for certification exams.
I know
there are many sites that offer this, but what I have not seen are
REASONABLE prices.

Here's some information about me: I've been in the "Industry" for over 20
years.
I hold the following certificates: A+, Network+, Security+, (Novell) CNA,
CNE, MCSE (NT4 and 2000), CCNA. I've taught certification level cl*****
for over 6 years for A+, Network+, Security+, MCP, MCSE, and CCNA. As
such I think I know a little about what people's needs are for
certifications.

Here's some information about the testing site I am thinking about
creating. The
site would start out with CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+. Then add
some Cisco, Microsoft, and maybe some others. The site would offer both
timed and untimed tests, and perhaps downloadable versions. Each test
would
have a pool of questions, which will be no less than 800 questions, which
the
exams would pull from.

I would be most grateful if you could answer these questions and please
feel
free to add some comments.

1 - Would you rather pay a one time fee (lifetime access), a yearly access
fee,
or small monthly fees? I'm considering offering all three options.

2 - How much do you feel is a reasonable amount for a one time fee?

3 - How much do you feel is a reasonable amount for a yearly fee?

4 - How much do you feel is a reasonable amount for a monthly fee?

5 - How long do you feel is a reasonable amount of time to wait before
allowing
a monthly member****p to be cancelled? I feel that a three month minimum
member****p is rational.

5 - Would you prefer different pricing structure for different vendors'
tests? I
would prefer a single pricing structure.

6 - Do you think that a (free) forum would be a benefit for the site?

Thank you for your comments and for your time.
SK
