I thought cable was faster anyway. When I ordered road runner (cable), 
the woman said I had two choices, one was the high speed, or road runner 
lite, so my guess was the road runner lite was something like DSL.

DSL is good enough for most purposes, yes, but I've had dial-up for so 
long that I wanted the faster speed. I like to download videos and music 
and sometimes play games, so the faster speed was a better option for 
me. Getting cable Internet was like a new toy for me :-)
