This is a very old edition (1999) of the book and is seriously out of
date. Don't use it.

These two editions are basically all the same book, the difference is
whether hardback or paperback and that the DELUXE edition includes some
additional goodies, like a network simulator and some testing software.
The information in the book is all the same.

This "kit" is actually three books packaged together, the 4th edition
Study Guide (as above), the Network Administrator Street Smarts: A Real
World Guide to CompTIA Network+ Skills and finally, Network+(r) Fast
Pass. So you get a big study guide book and two smaller skill
reinforcement books.

In my cl*****, I use the Deluxe edition the I presonally feel adds value
for the students by giving them the network simulator to "play with"
in between cl***** and after the course ends.

You'll finally have to decide which is the best "fit" for you as well as
your budget.

Finally, check out Bookpool (www.bookpool.com). They have some of the
best prices on technical books. No affiliation other than as a satisfied
customer. I've also bought online from Amazon when their prices were
better.

Good luck with your certification....

John
