Hi,
I'm currently studying with the book for certification. It is from
2004, but as I understand it was written early, as Mike was
knowledgeable about the 2005 exam objectives. Page 3 in the book says
that "This book covers all you need to know to pass the newest version
of the Network+ exam: the 2005 version." Although it took me a while
to discover this, as http://certification.comptia.org/network/about.aspx
points out, the exam has not been updated in major ways since 2005. If
you fill out the form at
http://certification.comptia.org/resources/objectiv=
es.aspx
(they haven't spammed me yet), you can see detailed exam objectives.
So yes, it's up to the current exam's objectives, and as you know I'd
definitely recommend his books. So far I'm up to Chapter 5 in his N+
book, and it's been working well for me.
Cheers,
JDC
