" Gee, the ones I've met must've been lying. They seemed to despise
the French."

Probably didn't want to hurt your feelings. The French and English tend to
take
the piss out of one another but the English people wish they had the balls
of
the French at times to stand up to things.

" We weren't very mighty at the time. We didn't start building up
until 1940....after y'all showed (again) that you weren't able to
police your own backyard."

With the exception of the IRA (largely funded by Americans) we seem to
have done
pretty well for the last 60 or so years.
If only the same could be said for the wars the Americans have started in
the
same period and been unable to resolve.
It's the laughing stock of the world.

"The truth is, without the US, the Brits would be staring across the
channel at a German or Soviet dominated continent."
And had you have joined in the rest of the world some years earlier 6
million
jews may still be alive.

You dumped nuclear weapons at our air
> bases during the 80's

" Those were "our" airbases....by treaty."
Were they also your surround towns, schools and villages?

, and in general, you are an obnoxious race. It's like all

"You sound bitter. Are you bitter? Did some lonely GI knock up your
mother and then go home?"

Not at all, I just hate Americans, blanket. Every time I hear that one is
killed
I don't blink, in fact I often laugh.
That's as an English guy with a French wife.

Word on UK street is that Americans are the most hated race in

"I hope they were riding the subway last year."
And I am sure they wish you and your family were in WTC on sept 11th 2001.
