International Special Education Forum
Making The Impossible Possible:
A Better Life For Persons with Different Abilities And Their Families
July 8-12, 2007: Lima, Peru
Co-sponsored by the Centro Ann Sullivan del Per=FA (CASP) and
the Division of International Special Education and Services (DISES)
of The Council for Exceptional Children
Please join us in this international forum as we meet with researchers,
practitioners, and families from Latin America and around the world to
discuss, examine, and analyze critical issues of mutual interest and
forge collaborations for future work in special education. Meetings
will be held in English and Spanish with simultaneous translations.
The Program Committee has identified three daily conference strands:
A better life at home and in the community
A better life at school and through education
A better life through universities and teacher training
We will meet for a combination of keynote addresses, round table
discussions, research and practice presentations, and poster sessions.
A strong emphasis will be placed on creating an intimate and collegial
atmosphere for the establishment of future partner****ps.

Acceptance letters will be sent by
mid September, 2006.
Paper and Poster Presentations
A 12 word presentation title along with a 50 word abstract must be
submitted along with a 300 word presentation summary. The presentation
must specify the requested presentation format. If a specific
discussant is requested, the request must be included along with
submission. Presentation summaries will be used in post-conference
publications.
