I think the release of the following FREE tool/service (www.diigo.com)
might be of interest to members of this group - for those who do lots
of online research, and use web tools for e-learning.
Founded by a former EECS professor at UC Berkekely, Diigo's "Social
Annotation" allows users to add highlights and web sticky notes, in
situ, on any web page they read (just like reading and writing on a
book!), and much more...
In addition, many of Diigo's unique features make it extremely easy
to compile, extract, forward, and collaborate with others. More and
more people in the educational community have started to discover
Diigo, and are exploring Diigo as a tool to make better use of Internet
in education.
Diigo is recommended highly by TechCrunch, CNet, and others, as a a
perfect tool for online research, and for information management,
discovery, and sharing!
