A new online sup****t group surfaced filling a gap in the communities of
Mercer County Pennsylvania. This new group found at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mcpase
and is dedicated to Special
Education. Also found at http://www.mcpase.50megs.com
Up until now, parents of special education students in Mercer County
Pennsylvania have had little communication amongst themselves. Now,
thanks to the multitude of listservs and online groups, the Internet is
bringing these folks together.
The groups goals are to help parents realize their exceptional
children's needs. Additionally to help those parents and families
navigate the sometimes very complex system of special education.
Special education is not what it used to be. It is not a classroom, but
an individualized approach to teaching students with different academic
and behavioral needs. This group hopes to serve this ever growing
population of exeptional children.
