Thai Standards in American Schools

by bartning@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Vincent Henry Bartning) Oct 8, 2003 at 09:48 AM

Hello all:

If you're unaware, cheating takes place rather often in Thailand and
leads to success. From experiences with other students to current
duenow-like sites, I wonder if cheating has become a good thing in the
U.S. Certainly unfairness abounds in education. "Cheaters" really
does spell "teachers" somehow? LOL!

I don't know if it's as bad as Thailand, but sites exist where you can
buy copyrighted material for you only, that no administrator is
supposed to own. It uses legalise to try to turn the tables and allow
cheating. In addition, unfairness abounds in education, and several
people come to mind who've cheated rather seriously and graduated,
either plagarized, cheated on a test, or had someone take a test for
them. Other strange experiences come to mind besides, and sometimes
people get accused falsely of cheating or get caught actually doing
it...

Blocks abound here, and I'm sharing rather serious accusations, but
the recent election in California leads me to vent as justice seems
denied to me. Hopefully, we'll manage matters correctly, and justice
will prevail...

Thanks!
