Blind user development group LIKE ANYONE EVEN READS THIS?

by trevor <not@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 9, 2005 at 04:58 AM

hello and forgive me for shouting.

a spontaneous group has evolved between blind users and webmasters and
sighted users and webmasters in the interest of building better websites
for both blind and sighted.

so far we have enough sighted webmaters and users. we need more blind
webmasters and users.

please put out the call to everyone. and if you are a blind websurfer or
webmaster, we would really appreciate hearing from you. us sighted people
have a lot to learn about your experience and us sighted webmasters have
an obligation to learn about same.

because, get ready for this people, the blind webmistress is real. she
uses Dreamweaver to create web pages. we are working with her now to
create a better template for her to work with.

and it gets better. it's an open project. whoever creates the template
that the blind webmistress adopts to work with is up for grabs.

and it gets better. we're proofing accessible bulletin board software so
blind users and webmasters can get together and tackle this aspect of the
web. and we're doing this right now.

we're doing it without you right now, but it would be so much better with
you. there's no budget, there's no nothing but us. Usenet.

untill we find a better newsgroup, we are discussing this thread at
alt.www.webmaster on Usenet.

the reference page for this project is at
www.dataSpheric.com/services/research/blind_webmistress.php . it is our
humble beginning of a page that is both accessible and maintainable to
the blind.

contact information for the host organization is found at this website.

if anyone actually reads this.

P.S. if you have, or know of a blind websurfing child or children, the
host organization is willing to "webify" their favorite story or their
teacher's favorite instructional material for the price of....nothin.
free. just to hear that they think of it.

did i just say "free accessible web services for disabled children"?

yes, i believe WE just did.

please also consult our Section 508 Services page for government
purchasers of Section 508 E&IT Services at
www.dataSpheric.com/services/508/

this offer good for certain periods only. dataSpheric undertakes ONE pro-
bono project per fiscal quarter and favors not-for-profit organizations
or persons working independantly for humanitarial causes dommesitcally
and abroad. regrettably, we can only offer services in the english
language at this time.

love,

trevor
