In reference to all of the responses, which I do appreciate, ABD means 
exactly what most have stated. You have completed All But Dissertation.

I have chosen to forget the Dissertation Coach. He/she cannot tell me 
anything I don't already know. Now - is there anyone with a PhD in the
area 
of technology, CIS, CS, etc that visits this group?
