It was a toss up about what I would post, either a link to the New
York Magazine article that shows Obama's failure among women,
especially white women, who appear to be going for McCain, or the
article about McCain and Florida. However, I think I'll go for the
second one.
In this link...

....they mention that Obama is losing Florida to McCain by 8 percent in
a recent poll. Really, this should end up being a slam dunk for
McCain, and I'd expect Obama to give up on the state. After casting
himself as the candidate of the youth vote and being criticized for
lack of experience (by his own party's candidates), he would have a
really hard time winning the retirement state of aging
Americans...Americans that fit more closely with the age of John
McCain. Indeed, Obama's condemnation of the prior generations will
offend these retirees...combined with the military communities that
line the Florida coast....not to mention the Cuba escapees that may be
upset at Obama's willingness to give Cuba diplomatic authority to
negotiate with us. So, this state that has had a huge impact in
recent elections, seems safely in McCain's camp that I can see. As
such, I don't really see the need for McCain to add Crist to his
ticket...whom would it bring to his ticket? Better that he would
choose a strong conservative to be VP to get a wider base.
