According to this news story,
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080719/ap_on_re_mi_ea/petraeus_interview
General Petraeus (recently promoted in lopsided vote with Democrat
sup****t) said that Al Qaida will not give up on Iraq, even though they
are ****fting their resources to other locations like Afghanistan. He
said that up till now, they had planned on setting up a militant
Islamic state in Iraq. However, it appears they are giving up on that
(which would indicate a success) and moving elsewhere. Further, the
news story indicates that the Sunni boycott of the Iraqi government
has, now, ended, and the ****ite military extremists have been
curbed...both of these (and the Al Qaida pullback) are all signs of
success in the war and the potential for a stable Iraqi government
ruled by Iraqis (since both sides are sup****ting the government, now).
With this news, Bush's commanders are considering a pullback of US
troops from Iraq (not Obama but Bush), since the Al Qaida presence in
Iraq (which many deny is there) is apparently lessening. However,
General Petraeus is quick to say that they will not give up on Iraq
and will continue fighting there. Since we are fighting Al Qaida and
both parties trust Petraeus to call the shots on this war....guess
what...we will be fightin in Iraq and Afghanistan, regardless of who
wins the White House.
