Kappa Delta, AOT, and Beowulf?

by ladybug8@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Conflation) Apr 27, 2004 at 07:14 PM

Although I'm not a KD, I think I know what "AOT" stands for. I won't
type it here, but it seems to be identical to some text from Beowulf
(line 1165, http://www.sacred-texts.com/neu/asbeo.htm
). The phrase
apparently refers to two characters, Hrothgar and Hrothulf. If I
understand correctly, Hrothulf ultimately betrayed Hrothgar in a
pretty significant way - wouldn't this make the phrase a rather
unfortunate choice for a motto?
