I rather agree. Recently I contacted an organisation about the
contents of a 19C letter my uncle had found slipped into a book of
poetry. I noticed the name of the boss of the person with whom I was
dealing, and did three minutes web searching, which led me to the
conclusion that he was my 5th cousin, twice removed. Worth knowing,
should I ever bump into him (unlikely), but otherwise of little
interest.
