FWIW -- a couple who lived in Pennsylvania from birth thru
burial aren't on one of the early 20th c census. Family
insisted they had lived there their entire marriage. All
evidence suggested the family was right.
However, this couple actually turned up in Wa****ngton State
on that census -- it seems they had travelled out to visit
someone and had gone up to Alaska for a month or so since
they were so close, and en route home were enumerated in a
hotel in Wa****ngton State. Apparently, people vacationed
then too. (g)
