Explanation of Medical Term?

While reviewing my grandmother's death certificate, I came upon the term 
"ASHD" as a contributing cause.  On her certificate the cause(s) are
listed 
as follows:

Immediate Cause:                  Cerbral hemorrhage
Due to, or consequence of:    Diabetes uncontrolled
Due to, or consequence of:    ASHD

In case it's relevant, this certificate was orignated in September of
1978.
