Of course every amateur philosopher wonders whether he is using his 
time ethically. However preserving aboriginal languages is very hard to 
do if you don't live in the environment where they are spoken. A large 
percentage of their vocabulary revolves around plants, animals, food 
dishes, garments and customs of their particular culture. Even if I 
memorize, somehow, the vocabulary of such a language I will not get 
much op****tunity to incor****ate it into my consciousness sitting here 
in an air-conditioned electrically-lit computer-infested nerd-house.
