x in Sasxsek represents "schwa" http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwa

v represents the same sound in Muskogean languages such as Creek. 

We can use letters as we choose. If "x" is not doing anything else and
a letter is needed for "schwa", what other choice do you have? Dana
does not like accented letters.
