here's a few more simple changes that i think wuhd drastikally improve
english spelling...
change "ph"s to "f"s so that telephone > telefone, phlegm > flegm,
photograph > fotograf
drop silent "g"s so that flegm (phlegm) > flem, foreign > forein,
gnome > nome
same with silent "p"s and "k"s - psychology > siekology, pneumatic >
nuematik (why is it "eu" anyway?), knowledge > nolledge (double "l"
wuhd help us noe that the "o" is short)
change soft "g"s to "j"s - giant > jiant, geriatric > jeriatrik, gym >
jym
how about chanjeing all "igh"s to "i_e"s - light > lite, night > nite,
knight > nite?
what do y'all think?
i'm not altogether thrilled with the "uh" for the /U/ in "could" and
"would". maybe using a simple "u" followed by a single konsonant for
/U/ as in "put" and using "u" followed by a double konsonant wud work
for /V/ (the "u" in "putt"). would > wud, could > kud, foot > fut.
to be konsistent, shut > shutt, but > butt.
