i know, it's starting to luk a little like the RITE spelling system,
but i'm not really proposing that we go with something quite like
RITE. i think RITE is too komplikated to ever be adopted. i am
saying that it mite be gud idea to take the very soft approach of
reforming just the most glaring of the inkonsistencies in english
spelling. this mite be an akseptable kompromise between a radikal,
earth-shaking reform and no reform at all. i think the kinds of
simple chanjes i've advokated above wud be something that kud aktually
be implemented in my lifetime (i'm 39 years old, so i mite only have
another 60 years or so left!) oh, i just thot of another chanje we
mite want to add - drop silent "w"s so that write > rite, wring >
ring, wrong > rong. i think i will try using some of these reformed
spellings in my informal kommunikations and see what happens. they're
so subtle (suttle?) and just plain make sense to my little brain.
