Here in dumbed-down S. Africa, I've found when speaking to
lawers who I've previously sent email to, that they've understood
little of what I emailed.
Is the above sentence/paragraph too complex ?
Must I break it into 3 sentences:
1. I'm dealing with S. African society, which has a low
level of education.
2. Repeatedly I've found that local attorneys can't understand
my emails.
3. I know this because of what they say by telephone after
they have received my email[s].
When the revolutionary freedom-fighters recently took
political power here, they spoke street talk on their
TV appearances. Shortly thereafter they had fattened-up,
were wearing Amani suits and were speaking in PR sound-bytes.
Obviously they had quickly had intensive coaching to talk in
a manner which increases their chances of being well
understood.
So there are proven formulae for sound-byteing.
There must be something published to learn this skill.
Perhaps even on the net ?
Perhaps a set of rules and templates that can be almost
blindly applied, can give quick results ?
Obviouly the stars are the speach writers.
Where are the secrets od speech writing to be found ?
Please point me to such expertise.
Thanks for any info,
