Although I broadly agree with your point and the rest of your message,
I'm not sure about this detail.
For what it's worth, it is generally considered that there was a period
of contact and word-exchange between the Indic and Iranian branches
after separation but before the final casting of the Avesta and Rig
Veda, so while of couse it is true that the ancestor of Farsi is not
derived from Sanskrit, it may have the occasional word to which a
specifically Indic, as opposed to Indo-Iranian, etymology must
ultimately be assigned.
