I was showing how far back the Persian word goes. I was giving an example
of
a word in a modern Aryan language that went back to an ancient Aryan
language in a DIFFERENT branch of Aryan, order to contrast with a word
that
went back to an ancient language in the SAME branch of Aryan. In other
words, I was saying that if Farsi had got its word for horse from
Sanskrit,
the word would have remained relatively unchanged just like Old Persian
charka passed all the way into Hindi relatively unchanged.
