There are a lot of little differences in sounds in Hindi that do not
exist in English. I can hear a Hindi speaker say =E0=A4=95 and =E0=A4=96
an=
d not hear
the difference. Can you? I have the same problem with =E0=A4=97 and
=E0=A4=
=98 and so
forth.
Well, the good news for me is that I live with three Hindi speakers.
And the good news for you is that we produce a daily learn Hindi
podcast at http://www.ISpeakHindi.com
All of April we are going to
focus our main "Learn Hindi Daily Podcast" on exploring this topic.
You may have come to check by the site earlier. It is well worth it
to check by again. Two of our key speakers, Meena and Nariandas
recently returned from India and are back on the program.
Anyway, I hope you will stop by to check out the program. Also, if
you have some good suggestions on developing an ear that can hear
these differences or tricks on how to pronounce them correctly, please
email me and let me know. I would like to include them in the
program.
