Classical vs Litterary Latin translation. Can anyone help...

by smyttie@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Feb 20, 2008 at 03:23 AM

A girl I know wants the following text translated in Latin to remember
her dad by :
"My icon. My mentor. My inspiration.".

In classical Latin icon & mentor do not exist and inspiration refers
to breathing only.

Can anyone grasp what she means by the words and maybe translate it in
Litterary Latin?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

smyttie.
