Strange Latin motto

by "abc" <a@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 12, 2008 at 06:37 PM

Good morning, I'm writing from Italy. The other day I read a question in an

Italian newsgroup: a guy asked the meaning of a Latin motto (BTW, used as
a
sign by an American in a birdwaching forum :-)...). The motto is:

Senium quod usus victum juvenis quod erudio

A translation into Italian was given, but with many doubts, starting from:

(sum) senium, quod usus (sum) victum; (sum) iuvenis, quod erudio

It was said this motto is strange and might be a modern translation into
Latin of some, say, original English motto.
Do you understand anything?
