Thank you for the suggestions. The meaning of the phrase is that the
way you achieve something changes the nature of the achievement. For
example, if you climb a mountain, the mountain-top is not the same as
if you flew up in a helicopter. Another way of putting it in English
might be "The nature of the journey changes the destination."
I'll have a look, see if I can find a Latin teacher locally. Thanks
for the advice.
