Last Summers Eve.
I was exposed last summers eve.
Wearing shoes that gleamed brightly,
from hours spent idolising them
'till they shone as a mirror.
I saw an Angels reflection
And whispered; Come, where it is dark.
She followed me into myself
And was swallowed by neglect.
I drank rose last summers eve.
Slowly penetrated by its ambience.
After many hours of indulgence
'till corroboration with feeling elapsed.
I saturated my Angels beauty
Until she cried; Come, into my dark.
We bound ourselves with gold
And were both wounded by regret.
I feasted on wings last summers eve.
Their usefulness long since faded,
by desire, and corruption.
I accused and danced with divinity.
She drifted deeper and deeper into the dark.
I closed my eyes; And she was gone.
I cast my shoes from a window.
And watched them ceremoniously
Dissolved by a burning bush.
And by fading light last summers eve.
With agonised tongue; Set free in the dark
I became as one with the flame.
And stumbled away from respect.
