A PERSPECTIVE ON FREEDOM
--------------------------------------------
bigots come in every hue
be careful one might be you
if you claim to be tolerant
and yet are not
live and let live is always good
mind your own business too
let others live as they choose
don't tell them what to do
stay off my ****ch
don't prosleytize
if I need your services
I'll find you
go and vote if you want
let others choose their way
keep your nose to yourself
it's reasonable today
don't be tolerant of intolerance
nip it in the bud
don't tell others who to marry
or what clothes to wear
keep your religion to yourself
don't force it onto others
remember he who prays in secret
is rewarded in public
wear your icons if you must
whatever they may be
be respecctful of all beliefs
if they don't break the law
keep your commandments if you wish
and follow them all day
but keep them off of public buildings
they are not everyone's way
keep abortion legal
you just don't get a say
in who has one or doesn't
it's the democratic way
have 20 wives or husbands
who cares as long as they
are housed and fed and not coerced
or abused in any way
it's tolerance we need to seek
if we can ever say
everyone is free to be
whatever they may
so keep opinions to yourself
if you would wish to seem
a believer of freedom
that you claim to be
or someone may decide that you
are lying when you say
you believe in freedom and
your freedoms go away
