Preterite vs. imperfect

by "steiner@[EMAIL PROTECTED] " <steiner@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 8, 2007 at 08:47 AM

What is the most correct past tense of El gusto es m=EDo?
Is it more correct to say El gusto era m=EDo or el gusto fue m=EDo?
How about the translation of My vacation was fine?
Is it better to say: Mis vacaciones fueron buenas or mis vacaciones
eran buenas?
Saludos,
Ray Steiner
