 thought I had reposted it to show the arabic; here's another =
attempt:
Yes, it's Arabic script, and it is upside down, but no matter how much I =

suspend my disbelief or how far I stretch my imagination, I fail to see =
how=20
it might be interpreted as [????? ??? ] (al-Hamdu lillahi).

The letters, while quite crude, are nevertheless quite clear and =
distinct.=20
All I see is [??? ????? ] (Hmd alHAy) (top line Ha-mim-dal, and bottom =
line=20
alif-lam-Ha-alif-ya).

Since it is not at all unusual for craftsmen to stamp their names on =
their=20
works, I'd speculate that =20
??? ????? is the name of the maker of that=20
coffee pot ---- Hamad al-HAy
