1. An Arab Native speaker will understand ?SbaHa as "became" no more or
less
2. I can't judge the book you mentioned but I have the impression it is
not reliable and the translation is wrong.
3. Arabic is one of my native languages but not all native speakers
can provide insight. This is a silly obsession
I gave you background information you don't have access to elsewhere
but if you are not convinced I suggest asking somebody else.
