stalk, stalker

by JClark <jclark@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 9, 2007 at 10:09 PM

Hello,
Is there a French equivalent for "stalk" or "stalker" or "stalking" as
it is used in (recent) English? I refer to the behavior of following
someone to harrass or with an unhealthy pursuit of that person. I
asked a native French speaker, and she couldn't come up with an
equivalent.

I found "hanter" for a verb and "rôdeur" for "stalker" but I'm not
sure these apply to this particular English use.

Many thanks.

Jack
