se passer de

by Dan Leifker <dleifker@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 29, 2008 at 06:55 PM

"se passer de" seems friendly enough in the present tense and in
questions, but things get ugly in negative questions in the past tense.

If I want to say, "Didn't you do without X?" would the following be
correct?

Ne vous êtes-vous pas passé de X?

Or is this form too weird, and would people use the "Est-ce que..." form
instead?

merci
