You need to tell us if your hosts are French, American, British or
whatever.
for example, although I'm not English, I lived there 3 years. A few weeks
ago we had some friends stay and they brought a kilo of smoked back bacon
rashers (frozen) I was EVER so pleased, as I can't find bacon cut like
that
in France
