I have a weird question...if there are any normal ones here.
I am an American. My family name came from my great-grandfather who
immigrated from county Clare in the late 1800's. In fact my first name
was his also! I am fiercely proud of my heritage and of my name. There
are some times when I am fed up with my government and wish I could
return to the little village that my namesake left soooo many years
ago! Sadly, I haven't even had the chance to even visit yet. :-(
My last name begins with "Mc". From the time I learned to write, I was
taught to write it with two lines under the "c", I never even asked
why (my dad and grandfather are dead now), when I learned to sign my
name, I signed it with two lines under it. I haven't researched it
much, but is this proper, is it normal, is it conventional? I haven't
found any character sets on the computer that sup****t this convention.
Was my great grandfather insane, it would be one of the smaller
skeletons in the closet! If you know of any character fonts I can
download...
I know this is probably the most ignorant question any of you will see
today, but it is another step on my journey...as it was!
Thank you all very much!
Michael
