Translation needed for a very crude family Irish phrase (English

by MacBranian <macbranian@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Nov 16, 2003 at 02:05 PM

Dia Duit,

My father used to tell my brothers and I that when his father (from
Roscommon) caught him telling a lie... He would say to him (in Irish)
"Don't
pee in my face and tell me it's raining." Needless to say; at that point,
my
father would tell the truth.

I'd appreciate any help turning turning this saying back into Gaelic.

Thank you for any help.
I would like to give the translation to my brothers to remind them of our
father...

Michael Brennan
