Free Stater just means someone who is content that the 26 counties
remain separate from the North, all the way up to doing everything in
their power to achieve that, including destabilising the fragile
politics of the North.

Tony O Reilly is the classic case.

Free Stater in this sense doesn't say anything about whether you're
left or right. There are Free staters across the whole political
spectrum in the South including the Labour Party.
