A chairde,
Please forgive my posting a message for commercial promotion to these
groups. I'm writing to let you know about a new package for assisted
Irish learning, called EasyReader. Among the principal features are:
*) a dictionary which integrates with any web browser, Office
application, or email program, and provides a pronunciation of over
5000 common words
*) a selection of literary and popular texts, with recordings of
readings, so that the learner can practice reading and pronunciation
*) extensive sections on grammatical constructs (verbs, adjectives,
nouns & declensions, numbers & counting , etc)
*) facilities for writing in Irish, including several traditional
Irish fonts and more convenient insertion of diacritical markings
('fada's and 'seimhiu's) in any application
All recordings are available in all three dialects ('canuint's),
including those in the dictionary. Every word that is looked up, in
any application, is automatically added, with definition, to the
user's personal dictionary log, for easy revision of new words.

I hope that this information is of use to some of you.
Le gach dea-ghui,
Hugh Denman
