Learning Irish

by Mike McGinn <mikemcginn@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 17, 2005 at 06:38 PM

Hello,
Many years ago I asked my grandmother who came here from Carrickmacross in
County Cork to teach me Irish. She refused saying it would serve me no
purpose to learn Irish.

I now live in upstate New York and want to learn Irish (still). I realize
this probably will be a struggle at 49 years old, but I am willing to give
it a try. Can anyone point me to some books where I can start??

Thanks
