Yes Friends, As my good friend Mike said this is Very Sad News for sure!
Just like Mike, I have been listening to these Great Radio Shows for as
long as I can remember! As a child growing up in Meriden, Connecticut I
can remember my mother and father tuning in to these radio shows each
and every Sunday! I even went as far as to Beg my father on my hands and
knees once to take me to Hartford to see the LIVE radio broadcast. He
did and I will NEVER forget it as long as I live! I just cant believe
this is all happening for REAL! It seems like a Bad Dream to me! John
Jeski who is better known as "Mr. Accordion" has recorded a lot of great
music with his band. He and Jeff have been doing these shows for the
past 27 years! John has some Very Serious health problems and can not go
on any longer doing these shows! The show in Hartford started as a LIVE
Broadcast on WTIC 1080 AM Radio in 1934 with the Late, Great Bob Steele!
This is the longest running remote radio broadcast in the WORLD! Now it
will all come to an END and be just a memory! How Very, Very SAD for
this to happen! Its like a BIG Part of Me will now be GONE FOREVER!
Again PLEASE PRAY for Jeff and for JOHN JESKI and his health problems!
