The ****tuguese language has two separate written standards that differ
somewhat from each other. One is used in ****tugal and its former
African colonies (Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, S=E3o Tom=E9 e
Princ=EDpe, Guinea-Bissau), as well as in East Timor. The other is used
in Brazil (where approximately 90 % of the native speakers of
****tuguese now live). Which standard are you interested in ? If you
would like to learn Brazilian ****tuguese, I would recommend the
textbook "Falar, Ler, Escrever ****tugu=EAs" by Emma Eberlein O. Lima.
The book is printed in Brazil and might be difficult to get in the US,
even though some American universities use it in their ****tuguese
cl*****.
