Greetings Rodney and other a.m.r. readers,
I have questions about this abacus (or soroban). Is there someone who can
read the number on it? Is it read left to right or right to left? I
watched the video of the soroban and abacus. They showed numbers the way
I
read them, left to right. However, I still don't understand how to read
it.
My main question is this: What is the number on the soroban on the
postage
stamp?
My thought is this: That number might have a meaning. Maybe the number
read backwards has *more* meaning (in some context). Of course, this is
just a wild guess.
