That's funny, since in my previous I denied *none* of your statements.

It certainly was not a toppling of a political regime.

If replacing the party in power by another one at a certain moment is
the kind of "significant event" that you have in mind, than I can find
*lots* of other events that took place about the same time.

I could do that, but I won't. The first reason is that my qualifications
as a mathematician are irrelevant for this discussion.
