if you are (neg) -.5 units from a point charge. And, at your location
you experience a field with strength= 36,000 Newt/Col, that is coming
from that point charge; How strong is the charge and does it get a
plus or minus sign? (that's my guess anyway)

(i didn't understand exactly what you were asking in your post on ash
either)
