Understand though this is not the boomers choices but the leader****p
of the GOP that has engendered this mess. 12 years of Reagan-Bush1 and
8 years of Bush 2 will have added about 6 to 8 trillion to the debt. 8
years of Clinton policies saw surpluses and hopes for paying off debt
and actually having money to see us through the baby boom passage
through social security.
Millions of boomers who voted for Bush 2 did so over comparatively
frivolous issues like prayer in schools, abortion, gay marriage,
abstinence, etc. They took part in a shell game where they were asked
to vote for these things, while the GOP dismantled their safety net
for tax cuts to the wealthy and crony capitalists.
